I couldn’t log on last night and thought something had happened again.  You can’t imagine how elated I am  to see that I can watch and read again.  Whatever is going on out there to cause all this nonsense will surely end soon. Love your no-nonsense approach to the music.  Your voice is still right on the mark. I never knew about the GW,really, I knew of the songs and had heard the names. A friend of mine played “So Long Bannatyne” for me one night and told me, “He is known as the voice and is the best singer out there,Burton Cummings.” He played several songs that night, but that driving bass on that raw honky tonk sound was the one that did it for me. I saw the “FREE” video on YOUTUBE and your sincere words brought me here. That video and that song are just the BEST. I know I have probably forgotten “my place” and got a little too comfortable on here. Your blog is so unique. Your approach to your fans is  unheard of these days.  And with all the copycat singers and digital music we have to endure, your voice is TOTALLY recognizable as that of Burton Cummings. I heard this last video–the same quality is there that I heard  in 2004–yes only 2004-and you have lost nothing. You sound confident and you do hit the high notes.

Wow !!!  I can’t wait tonight live in Victoria tonight !!  This will be such an emotional night !!!  My mom who turned me on to your music as a child. She has past on but her spirit will be there tonight with my wife and I loving every song.  There is another reason this is an emotional night my wife Brenda who was dignoused with cancer two years ago will be by my side.  Her doc gave her the green light to go to public events and I can’t think of a better way to celabrate than with Burton and his music.  I know I have asked for shout out to her and a song to acknowlege our celabration and that today we can kick cancer’s ass.  Peace to all of you we can’t wait to join you all in our coming out party

I have always loved this song.Custom fit for your soulful vocals. You truely have one of the best voices in rock. I did not realize that you were only twenty one  when ‘ Laughing ‘ was recorded. Your voice is magic, pure snapshots of bygone times yet you are so tremendously today. Your music is timeless, your message without boundary, your sound as pure and beloved as it was decades ago.
